Celebrating our growing love and community.
January 29, 2026
This past January a team of volunteers from Snooze Eatery on Pearl street in Boulder came over to make their signature pancakes with us at First Church. They loaded one of their small red wagons with their famous batter and all the fixings and preceded to walk over to join housed and un-housed members of our congregation for brunch. Our new friends Alex Little the General Manager, and Maria Hess the Assistant Manager brought a group staff volunteers and invited everyone to make their own pancakes, with all the fixings.
Two of our un-housed friends delicately prepare the silverware that will be placed on the table for the pancake party we are about to hold.
Thank you Snoozer’s !

Don't forget the dishes ...
The connections we have made, the social capital we’ve grown, the assets we acquired have been mutually rewarding. They’ve led to an increased sense of trust and belonging. We learned that when the invisible is made visible people’s full humanity is made manifest. When we treat each other with dignity and care true relationships emerge and joy materializes.
When joy is present, it signals something deeper - trust, agency, shared purpose, and the sense that one’s work is worthy of full commitment.
